What’s he like?
Dahl is a humble man. He lives in an old cottage near his garden, and even though he has a massive house and a huge garden, he still prefers to write on his couch in the garden.
That’s right! Dahl writes on his couch with a pencil and a piece of paper! That’s how he started writing his first story, ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar, which is the story of a very hungry caterpillar who dreams of being a beautiful butterfly.
Dahl loves writing stories for children. And that’s why he writes for children. He wants his stories to be read aloud and he wants the children to enjoy them.
The best thing about Dahl is that he has lots of stories for children, and they’re all written in his unique, special style.
